Please be reminded that on the 17th of October a scheduled network upgrade will take place on the Monero network. To be sufficiently prepared, a user, service, merchant, pool operator, or exchange should run CLI v0.17 or GUI v0.17. The scheduled network upgrade introduces three consensus changes. First and foremost, a new ring signature construction, namely CLSAG, will be introduced. CLSAG enables smaller and faster transactions with rigorous security. Thirdly, coinbase rewards now have to be claimed in full. Additionally, in accordance with our previous announcement, there will be no change to the mining algorithm (RandomX).
